Kaip-Lloyd Associates, Inc. is a full service architectural firm located in the northwest suburb of Barrington, ILlinois, founded by John Kaip and Patricia Lloyd. We provide the personalized services of architecture, design, planning and interior architecture to our unique clients.
Since 1984, we have planned, designed, and completed remodelings, renovations, addtions, and new construction. Our commissions include commercial space,residential and church design. We work on small projects such as - a handicapped accessible addition to a historic landmark church, or - a tiny urban kitchen. Our residential design projects include: designing for seniors- especially–The Grandparents’ or In-law suite- an opportunity for multi-generational living. Our larger scale projects include church design as well as master planning the campus for it.

We, John Kaip and Patricia Lloyd, as founding principals, began our practice in Chicago. Our founding goals remain: to personally work with our clients throughout all phases of their project and to foster a relaxed environment that encourages communication and creativity from everyone. Our competitive edge is - we are personal, flexible and open minded. And hopefully our experience brings fresh eyes to a new project.
We have been fortunate to have worked on many different types of projects throughout our careers. There is always a story to be shared, something that can be learned. We educate our clients about the design process; they educate us about themselves, their business, their lifestyle, likes and dislikes.
